CA Form 568 Single Member LLC Tax Return (aka Gross Receipts Tax)

What's a Single Member LLC?

Single Member LLCs are LLCs (Limited Liability Company) with ONLY one member AND not treated as a corporation (C-Corp or S-Corp).

Sometimes it's abbreviated as "SMLLC".

A SMLLC entity does not have a federal return filing requirement. It's considered a "disregarded entity" (ignored) for federal income tax purposes.

However, California still requires a short-form 568 return to report the tax year's gross receipts.

The income and expenses from the SMLLC are reported on the owner's income tax return for both federal and California.

CA568SMLLC.com only files the California Form 568 Single Member LLC tax return.

  • $800 Annual Minimum Tax due for most SMLLCs.

  • PLUS, $0-$11,790 Annual LLC Fee due depending on the SMLLC's Gross Receipts.
